Network in Motion and Astoria Consulting Group today announced a strategic alliance to empower the accessibility of Israeli startups to Japanese leading corporate venture capital and large scale enterprises.

This collaboration aims to create a risk-free and pressure-free environment where initially, both startups and the investors e-meet over zoom, learn about each other and share thoughts directly and by that creating the trust needed for making Japanese more confident to invest. The platform focuses on seed and round A startups, in the fields of diagnostic, remote monitoring, surgical intervention, imaging, IoT, VR, AR and robotics.

Mr. Ira Prigat, President of Network in Motion shares his strategic view: “The collaboration with Astoria is designed to create a professional and familiar arena where Japanese investors are exposed to cutting-edge technologies originated in Israel, while enjoying the support of a professional team who are familiar with their risk mitigation mechanism and complex decision making process. By using this platform, more Israeli companies will have an opportunity to meet a larger number of Japanese investors. We are excited to support the creation of investment opportunities for both our Israeli and Japanese customers”.

Mr. Hal Morimoto, Astoria’s Founder and Managing Director added: “The Japanese market undergoes major changes, due to the increasing aging population and the growing related unmet needs, which drives the implementation of advance med-tech solutions, such as digital transformation (DX) of healthcare services, smart diagnostics evolving AI, ML, VR, IoT as well as new interventional and robotic technologies. Especially nowadays, when the Covid19 pandemic poses communication & travel challenges, we see a great benefit in joining forces with Network in Motion, who will leverage Astoria’s online matching events in Israel. In addition to the immediate benefit of creating more deals opportunities, we see Network in Motion’s ability to support the prepared Israeli companies before they encounter, as Japanese are very sensitive to risk exposure, thus they tend not to enter into investing deals without having a strong confidante in the process”.
